Bovine leukemia virus (BLV) is the causative agent of enzootic bovine leukosis, an oncogenic deltaretrovirus that has emerged as a potential zoonotic infection. The BLV naturally infects cattle and causes economic losses through a slow persistent infection with various clinical symtoms following preleukosis. The main objective of this study was to determine the seroprevalence of BLV antibodies in cattle and buffaloes in the border provinces of the Eastern Anatolia region, Türkiye, using the agar gel immunodiffusion (AGID) assay and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).

Objective: This study was designed to determine the genotypes of BVDVs and their variability among cattle in eastern Turkey.
This study examined the chemical composition, including moisture content, total fat, iodine value, melting point, saponification number, differential scanning calorimetry, fatty acid profiles, and color values (L*, a*, b*), in abdominal (A) and subcutaneous (S) fat of 15-week-old geese from three female varieties: Turkish (Lo), Linda (Li), and Mast (Ma). Results showed significantly higher moisture content in Lo-S compared to abdominal fats (P < 0.05), with consistent fat contents among goose varieties in abdominal fats.

POTS is a multi-systemic disease. Many mechanisms have been defined in POTS etiology, such as autonomic denervation, hypovolemia, hyperadrenergic stimulation, low condition, and hypervigilance.

To marinate the steaks, three different marinades were prepared depending on the different additions of vinegar: black chokeberry (BV), grape (GV), and hawthorn vinegars (HV). The group with water (without vinegar) was prepared as a control sample (C).

This study was aimed at determining the rate of parasitic contamination in prewashed fresh vegetables sold at randomly selected 10 retail markets which is the last step to reach the consumer in İzmir, Türkiye.
Methods: A total of 80 samples selected from eight types of vegetables including tomato, spinach, lettuce, rocket, mint, parsley, dill, and cucumber were examined for parasitic agents microscopically by sedimentation method after washing samples with normal saline.
Aim: This study aimed to examine and compare the signs and symptoms of temporomandibular disorders (TMDs) and oral parafunctions in pediatric patients with and without cardiovascular diseases (CVDs).
Study Design: A total of 295 children with CVD (the CVDG group) admitted to the Cardiology Department and another set of 295 children without CVD (the CG group) were included in this study. All children were 6-18 years old.
1. The purpose of the present research was to detect the efficacies of various vinegars (aronia, grape and hawthorn) used as marination solutions on the physicochemical, technological, textural and sensory properties of spent chicken meat. The pH, colour parameters, cooking loss, marinade absorption, yield, texture (TPA and MORS), characteristics scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and sensory properties of marinated spent chicken samples were determined.

Materials And Methods: There were 352 children who presented with chest pain to the pediatric emergency department between December 2007 and February 2017.
This study evaluates the physicochemical and microbiological properties and sensory parameters of beef patties formulated with black chokeberry (B1), blackberry (B2), red currant (B3) and blueberry (B4) pomace water extracts during refrigerated storage over 9 days. The berry pomace extract treatment significantly decreased the TBARS numbers of the samples (P < 0.05).

This study provides a molecular characterization of BoHV‑4 strains from 24 cattle some showing respiratory and/or reproductive problems and some without any apparent clinical sign. This study also reported the growth properties of five BoHV‑4 field isolates.

The present study aims to model the number of persons per physician, nurse, and midwives in Turkey until 2030 and to make estimates for better reproductive health outcomes. We used time series of people per physician, nurse, and midwife between the years 1928 and 2018.

Aims: The primary aim of this study is to assess the potential determinants for both knowledge level of metabolic syndrome and health literacy (HL) level among the adult population. The second purpose of this study is to show whether there is a relationship between the MetS knowledge level and the HL level in western Turkey.

Numerous viruses, including bovine viral diarrhoea virus (BVDV), bovine herpes virus 1 (BoHV-1) and bovine herpes virus 4 (BoHV-4), and other pathogens are the most common causes of reproductive disorders and are responsible for huge economic losses in livestock production. This study investigates the aetiological role of BoHV-4 in fertility problems such as abortions, stillbirth and birth with unviable calves. Retrospective samples from 38 animals, including 17 aborting cows, 17 aborted foetuses, three stillborn calves and one unviable newborn calf were analysed.

This study was conducted to determine the effects of pineapple fruit juice at different marination times (0, 40, 80, 120 and 160 min) on pH, water holding capacity (WHC), cooking loss (CL) and colour (, hue angle and chroma) properties of breast, drumstick and thigh meats from spent hens. Textural properties (razor shear force and shear energy) and sensory analyses of the samples were tested.

We report the results of a genome-wide analysis of transcription in Arabidopsis thaliana after treatment with Pseudomonas syringae pathovar tomato. Our time course RNA-Seq experiment uses over 500 million read pairs to provide a detailed characterization of the response to infection in both susceptible and resistant hosts. The set of observed differentially expressed genes is consistent with previous studies, confirming and extending existing findings about genes likely to play an important role in the defense response to Pseudomonas syringae.
