Revisiting COVID-19 Communication in Western Africa: A Health Literacy-based Approach to Health Communication.

Adherence to protective measures is a major component of COVID-19 epidemic control. COVID-19 health literacy is a major driver of this adherence, and the evaluation of health literacy levels is the basis for designing an effective communication strategy. We conducted a quantitative socio-anthropological study of the knowledge of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection and perception of the prevention messages in Burkina Faso, Cabo Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, and Sierra Leone.

[Clinical, epidemiological and therapeutic features of biliary tract cancers: about 20 cases].

Biliary tract cancers mainly occur in two sites: gallbladder cancer which are adenocarcinomas and intra- and extrahepatic cholangiocarcinomas. We conducted a retrospective study of 20 cases with biliary tract cancer in the Department of Surgery at the General Hospital in Grand-Yoff between January 2006 and October 2014. 40% of patients had gallbladder cancer, 60% of patients had common bile duct cancer.

[Acute generalized peritonitis due to uterine perforation following abortion: case study observation].

Unlabelled: Clandestine abortion is known to be a major contributor to maternal mortality. We report a case of a 25-year old patient in her 12th week of amenorrhea with peritonitis due to uterine perforation following abortion, admitted with abdomen and pelvis pain, vomiting and diarrhea. Clinical examination on admission showed asthenic peritonitis.

The esogastric anastomotic fistula,occurring after the replacement of esophagus by the stomach, is a post-operative complication always feared and awaited. Apart from other causes, there exist the anatomical dispositions notably the vascular and technical factors that stress this potential risk despite certain advantages of esophagogastroplasty. The goal of our study was to study the arterial distribution of the gastric transplants in order to identify the better modalities of their making.
