We present the first reported case in the Middle East of bilateral uveal metastasis from prostate cancer in a 74-year-old man. Initially diagnosed in November 2016 with high-volume metastatic castrate-sensitive prostate cancer (mCSPC), his cancer progressed and was castrate-resistant. In December 2022, the patient presented blurry vision in the left eye and was diagnosed with left uveal metastase.

Importantly, this case study shows that thermodynamics (through the construction of the DMU-water temperature-composition phase diagram) rather than kinetics is responsible for this significant temperature drop. Furthermore, this work also highlights the existence of a monohydrate of DMU that has never been reported before with a non-congruent fusion at 8 °C.

Awareness of this complication and a high level of suspicion allow early diagnosis and treatment, thereby reducing the morbidity of this condition. We present a case of a pseudoaneurysm of a perforating branch of the PFA after revision THA which was treated successfully by selective coil embolization.

Diagnosis is made clinically and imaging findings have not been described. We will present the case of an 84-year-old man with a history of metastatic prostate cancer and prior pelvic external beam radiation therapy who presented to the emergency department with urinary retention.

In this case report, we are describing a 30-year-old man who presented with rapid onset of severe intermittent claudication and was diagnosed with CAD. Resection of the lesion with autologous vein replacement was scheduled.

We describe the case of a 39-year-old African American man presenting with right groin pain who was diagnosed with PSTCC. Classic sonographic, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) features were present.

To our knowledge, we present the first reported case of isolated focal penile inflammatory ulceration in a patient being treated with Nivolumab for stage IV non-small cell lung carcinoma. He presented with a painless penile ulceration two months after initiating therapy.

Pyrazinamide (PZA) is a pharmaceutical compound with four polymorphic forms. The high temperature γ form, which can be produced by spray drying or sublimation growth, is metastable at room temperature and transforms within days when produced by spray drying, and within several months up to years for single crystals produced by sublimation.

Ultrasound (US)-guided central line insertion may be less morbid than standard PICC line.
Aims: To determine the ease, success rate, and morbidity associated with US-guided central line insertion in the internal jugular vein (IJV) by comparing it to the standard PICC line placement.
The present study focuses on the ability of excipients to induce the crystallization of a specific polymorphic form of pyrazinamide (PZA) and more interestingly, to block the irreversible solid-solid transition of the metastable forms of the PZA to the stable form at room temperature. We outline an experimental protocol for the production of a structurally pure γ form of PZA by means of spray drying. Without any particular treatment, phase transition to δ form was detected after 14 days of storage under ambient conditions.

The scarcity of publications led us to initiate a prospective study regarding the placement and outcomes of UB-AAVAs.
Methods: Seventy patients (63 adults, seven children) with no usable cephalic vein in either forearm were selected consecutively over 4 years for placement of a UB-AAVA.

Membrane-type matrix metalloproteinase I (MT1-MMP)-deficient mice were found to have severe defects in skeletal development and angiogenesis. The craniofacial, axial, and appendicular skeletons were severely affected, leading to a short and domed skull, marked deceleration of postnatal growth, and death by 3 wk of age. Shortening of bones is a consequence of decreased chondrocyte proliferation in the proliferative zone of the growth plates.
