Technology-Mediated Sexual Interactions, Social Anxiety, and Sexual Wellbeing: A Scoping Review.

Technology-mediated sexual interactions (TMSI) are interpersonal exchanges via technology of self-created sexual material, including photos, videos, and auditory or text messages. There is little research on the factors that predict both TMSI experiences and their sexual wellbeing outcomes. Social anxiety is anxiety experienced in response to social or performance situations.

An Unusual Case of Prolymphocytic Leukemia Transformation in a Patient With Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia.

B-cell prolymphocytic leukemia (B-PLL) is a rare leukemia characterized by rapidly increasing leukocytosis with splenomegaly and lymphadenopathy. Treatment strategies are largely based on studies of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Antibodies against the cell surface protein CD20 are considered to be first-line therapy.

FSBA modifies both alpha- and beta-subunits of F1 specifically and can be bound together with AXP at the same alpha-subunit.

Binding of 1 mole 5'-fluorosulfonylbenzoyladenosine (FSBA) per mol F1 induces about 50% inhibition of ATPase activity and 80% inhibition of ITPase activity. The binding of additional ligand results in a further inhibition of both activities. Maximally 5 mol/mol F1, causing complete inhibition of activity, can be bound.

Cerebrospinal fluid otorrhea treated by extended subtotal petrosectomy with obliteration.

Extended subtotal petrosectomy as a treatment for stubborn cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) otorrhea is presented. Nine patients were successfully operated on by this technique, all previously having undergone surgery for brain or base of skull lesions, other interventions used had failed to seal the fistula. The retrosigmoid cells, facial cells, and internal auditory canal were found in our study to be the most commonly involved during pervious neurosurgery and so constituted the usual path for CSF leakage.

[Fungal infections in 2 cases of fulminant hepatitis].

Infectious complications are highly prevalent in patients with fulminating hepatitis. We report 2 female patients, aged 42 and 80 years old, with fulminating hepatitis caused by virus B and virus non-A non B, who died 20 and 25 days after initiation of the disease. Post mortem examinations showed severe C albicans infection of the gastrointestinal tract.

[Effects of the treatment of coffee pulp, fresh or ensilaged, with calcium hydroxide, on its nutritive value].

This study was carried out to determine the effects of the addition of calcium hydroxide on the chemical composition and nutritive value of fresh or ensilaged coffee pulp. Fresh or ensilaged pulp were mixed with 1, 2 and 3% of calcium hydroxide. The process was carried out during 0 and 16 hr, after which time the treated pulp was sun-dried for 36 hr until moisture content reached 12%.
