Objective: To assess the viability of using ultra-low radiation and contrast medium (CM) dosage in aortic computed tomography angiography (CTA) through the application of low tube voltage (60kVp) and a novel deep learning image reconstruction algorithm (ClearInfinity, DLIR-CI).
Methods: Iodine attenuation curves obtained from a phantom study informed the administration of CM protocols. Non-obese participants undergoing aortic CTA were prospectively allocated into two groups and then obtained three reconstruction groups.
Lisocabtagene maraleucel (liso-cel) is an autologous, CD19-directed, 4-1BB chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell product approved for relapsed/refractory (R/R) large B-cell lymphoma (LBCL). We present the OUTREACH primary analysis, evaluating the safety and efficacy of outpatient monitoring after liso-cel treatment at community sites in the United States. Adults with R/R LBCL after ≥2 prior lines of therapy received liso-cel.

Nevertheless, there are limited data available about the specific impact of colchicine on coronary plaques.
Methods: This was a prospective, single-center, randomized, double-blind clinical trial.
The demand for measuring fluorophore temperature sensitivity and temperature change in chemical or biological samples has spurred the search for effective methods. While infrared (IR) light-based thermal devices are popular, they are limited to surface temperature measurement. Fluorescence-based thermometry, which utilizes intensity, lifetime, polarization, and spectrum change, provides the temperature information directly from the samples and can have high temporal and spatial resolution.

A camera-based USF imaging system reveals its capability of capturing both spatial and temporal dynamics of the USF signal in tissue. In this study, various algorithms were explored to enhance the spatial resolution and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of USF images, utilizing temporal and spatial information from a camera-based time-domain USF imaging system.

To better understand the exact effects of real-life environmental conditions on the skin and determine the protective methods, this study investigates the effects of three topical cosmetic moisturizers (water gel moisturizers with/without yeast extract (Moisturizers K and C) and a thick-emulsion cream moisturizer (Moisturizer L)) on clinical and skin microbiome endpoints in the presence of environmental aggressors during an 8-week, randomized controlled, triple-blind clinical trial with 110 participants, and molecular- as well as biomarker-level endpoints on ex vivo skin explants after exposure to simulate urban environmental conditions. The results show that all moisturizers are well-tolerated and improve skin barrier function and surface moisture content from the baseline, and the improvement is maintained at the last analysis point (3 days after trial completion).

Design: Systematic review and meta-analysis.
Methods: Through November 2022, we comprehensively searched PubMed, EMBASE, the Cochrane Library, and 4 Chinese databases.
Patients with pancreatic cancer commonly develop weight loss and muscle wasting. Whether adipose tissue and skeletal muscle losses begin before diagnosis and the potential utility of such losses for earlier cancer detection are not well understood. We quantify skeletal muscle and adipose tissue areas from computed tomography (CT) imaging obtained 2 months to 5 years before cancer diagnosis in 714 pancreatic cancer cases and 1748 matched controls.

Introduction: To define the prognosis of colorectal cancer (CRC) in young patients and to compare their postoperative treatment with that of older patients.
Methods: This multicenter study enrolled 5,457 patients with primary CRC who underwent surgical resection. The overall survival (OS), clinicopathologic characteristics, and postoperative treatment of 253 young patients aged 18-44 years and 5,204 older patients aged 44-80 years were analyzed.
ABO-type perovskites (A = La, Ce; B = Mn, Ni) were prepared by sol-gel method, and applied for catalytic oxidation of toluene. The activity test results show that the activity of LaMnO can be improved when a small amount of Ce and Ni are doped into the A and B sites of LaMnO, respectively. The effects of different calcination temperatures and different calcination time on the preparation of La-based perovskites were also investigated.

However, developing an ideal Pt-based hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) electrocatalyst with moderated electronic structure as well as strong synergistic effect is still a challenge. Herein, we fabricated boron (B)-doped PtNi nanobundles by a two-step method using NaBH as the boron source to obtain PtNi/Ni B heterostructures with well-defined nanointerfaces between PtNi and Ni B , achieving an enhanced catalytic HER performance.

In this exploratory analysis of a double-blind, multicenter, randomized phase II clinical trial, 105 patients with advanced or metastatic colorectal cancer who were receiving chemotherapy were randomized to either high-dose vitamin D (4000 IU) or standard-dose (400 IU) vitamin D. Body composition was measured with abdominal computed tomography at enrollment (baseline) and after cycle 8 of chemotherapy (16 weeks).

Approach and Results: Patients with symptomatic carotid artery atherosclerosis were recruited from the Chinese Atherosclerosis Risk Evaluation, a multicenter study. All subjects underwent intracranial magnetic resonance angiography and extracranial carotid artery magnetic resonance imaging.

Methods: We performed ES on 110 subjects with PD and a positive family history; 99 subjects were also evaluated using genome-wide aCGH. We interrogated ES and aCGH data for pathogenic SNVs and CNVs at Mendelian PD gene loci.
To discriminate between closely related members of a protein family that differ at a limited number of spatially distant positions is a challenge for drug discovery. We describe a combined computational design and experimental selection approach for generating binders targeting functional sites with large, shape complementary interfaces to read out subtle sequence differences for subtype-specific antagonism. Repeat proteins are computationally docked against a functionally relevant region of the target protein surface that varies in the different subtypes, and the interface sequences are optimized for affinity and specificity first computationally and then experimentally.

Here, boron (B)-doped Co-N-C active sites confined in hierarchical porous carbon sheets (denoted as Co-N,B-CSs) were obtained by a soft template self-assembly pyrolysis method. Significantly, the introduced B element gives an electron-deficient site that can activate the electron transfer around the Co-N-C sites, strengthen the interaction with oxygenated species, and thus accelerate reaction kinetics in the 4e processed ORR and OER.
