This study aimed to explore the mechanisms through which salvianolic acid B (Sal-B) exerts its effects during myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (MI/RI), aiming to demonstrate the potential pharmacological characteristics of Sal-B in the management of coronary heart disease. First, Sal-B-related targets and MI/RI-related genes were compiled from public databases. Subsequent functional enrichment analyses using the protein-protein interaction (PPI) network, gene ontology (GO), and the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) predicted the core targets and approaches by which Sal-B counters MI/RI.

The decay-time-dependent CP asymmetry in B_{s}^{0}→J/ψ(→μ^{+}μ^{-})K^{+}K^{-} decays is measured using proton-proton collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 6  fb^{-1}, collected with the LHCb detector at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. Using a sample of approximately 349 000 B_{s}^{0} signal decays with an invariant K^{+}K^{-} mass in the vicinity of the ϕ(1020) resonance, the CP-violating phase ϕ_{s} is measured, along with the difference in decay widths of the light and heavy mass eigenstates of the B_{s}^{0}-B[over ¯]_{s}^{0} system, ΔΓ_{s}, and the difference of the average B_{s}^{0} and B^{0} meson decay widths, Γ_{s}-Γ_{d}. The values obtained are ϕ_{s}=-0.

We put forward a novel method for producing ultrarelativistic high-density high-polarization positrons through a single-shot interaction of a strong laser with a tilted solid foil. In our method, the driving laser ionizes the target, and the emitted electrons are accelerated and subsequently generate abundant γ photons via the nonlinear Compton scattering, dominated by the laser. These γ photons then generate polarized positrons via the nonlinear Breit-Wheeler process, dominated by a strong self-generated quasistatic magnetic field B^{S}.

Orthotropic heart transplantation remains the most effective therapy for patients with end-stage heart failure, with a median survival of ≈13 years. Yet, a number of complications are observed after orthotropic heart transplantation, including atrial and ventricular arrhythmias. Several factors contribute to arrhythmias, such as autonomic denervation, effect of the surgical technique, acute and chronic rejection, and transplant vasculopathy among others.

Objective: The relationship between chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection and fatty liver in patients remains unclear. Although high-fat diets-induced hepatic steatosis was proved to reduce HBV replication in transgenic mice, the interplay between HBV and fatty liver in immunocompetent mouse model is yet to be elucidated. Here, we aimed to develop an effective animal model for intracellular HBV persistence combined with hepatic steatosis and to explore their interactions.

A quint-wavelength UV spectroscopy for rapid determination of dichlorobenzene (DCB), chlorobenzene (CB) and benzene (B) was developed for the dechlorination process of DCB reduced by nanoscale zero-valent Fe/Ni bimetal. Based on the absorbance measurements at 260, 269, 277, 290 and 300nm, the equations for calculating the concentration of DCB and CB and B were established, in which the spectral interference from the nanoparticles could be effectively minimized. The results show that the present method has a good measurement precision (the relative standard deviations are within 2.
