Background: Short-term and long-term adverse events could occur after general anesthesia (GA) and the specific mechanism driving these effects has not yet been well-characterized. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the global effect of GA on DNA methylation in the cell-free DNA (cfDNA) of surgical lung-nodule patients.
Methods: This large retrospective cohort study enrolled 1,006 surgical lung nodule patients (529 pre-anesthesia, and 477 post-anesthesia).

Background: Previous studies have examined the relationship between patient resilience and functional outcome scores after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR). However, past studies have failed to explore the longitudinal relationship between preoperative resilience and functional outcomes 2 years after ACLR.
Purpose: To evaluate the relationship between preoperative patient resilience and functional outcomes 2 years after ACLR.
The chromosomal theory of inheritance dictates that genes on the same chromosome segregate together while genes on different chromosomes assort independently. Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) are common in cancer and drive oncogene amplification, dysregulated gene expression and intratumoural heterogeneity through random segregation during cell division. Distinct ecDNA sequences, termed ecDNA species, can co-exist to facilitate intermolecular cooperation in cancer cells.

However, LiNiCoMnO-based batteries benefit from the LiDFOB and its derived CEI only with appropriate electrolyte design while a comprehensive understanding of the underlying interfacial mechanisms remains limited, which makes the rational design challenging. By performing ab initio calculations, the CEI evolution on the LiNiCoMnO has been investigated.

However, the instability of their electrode/electrolyte interfaces in regular carbonate electrolytes (RCEs) results in a rapid capacity decay. To address this, a colloid electrolyte consisting of LiP nanoparticles uniformly dispersed in the RCE is developed by a one-step synthesis.

Despite extensive studies using various animal and cell models, the β-catenin-centered regulatory mechanisms underlying DE formation remain incompletely understood, partly due to the rapid and complex cell fate transitions during early differentiation.
Results: In this study, we generated new CTNNB1-/- human ES cells (hESCs) using CRISPR-based insertional gene disruption approach and systematically rescued the DE defect in these cells by introducing various truncated or mutant forms of β-catenin.
Background: Methadone maintenance treatment (MMT) is effective for managing opioid use disorder, but adverse effects mean that optimal therapy occurs with the lowest dose that controls opioid craving.
Objective: To assess the efficacy of acupuncture versus sham acupuncture on methadone dose reduction.
Design: Multicenter, 2-group, randomized, sham-controlled trial.
C - N axially chiral compounds have recently attracted significant interest among synthetic chemistry community due to their widespread application in pharmaceuticals, advanced materials and organic synthesis. Although the emerging asymmetric Catellani reaction offers great opportunity for their modular and efficient preparation, the only operative chiral NBE strategy to date requires using half stoichiometric amount of chiral NBE and 2,6-disubstituted bromoarenes as electrophiles. We herein report an efficient assembly of C-N axially chiral scaffolds through a distinct chiral ligand strategy.

Based on (10087±44)×10^{6} J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector, a partial wave analysis of the decay J/ψ→γK_{S}^{0}K_{S}^{0}η^{'} is performed. The mass and width of the X(2370) are measured to be 2395±11(stat)_{-94}^{+26}(syst) MeV/c^{2} and 188_{-17}^{+18}(stat)_{-33}^{+124}(syst) MeV, respectively. The corresponding product branching fraction is B[J/ψ→γX(2370)]×B[X(2370)→f_{0}(980)η^{'}]×B[f_{0}(980)→K_{S}^{0}K_{S}^{0}]=(1.

But although GIPR-GLP-1R co-agonism decreases body weight with superior efficacy relative to GLP-1R agonism alone in preclinical and clinical studies, the role of GIP in regulating energy metabolism remains enigmatic. Increasing evidence suggests that long-acting GIPR agonists act in the brain to decrease body weight through the inhibition of food intake; however, the mechanisms and neuronal populations through which GIP affects metabolism remain to be identified.

We aimed to assess the antiviral potency and safety profiles of DTG + 3TC vs. B/F/TAF based on antiretroviral therapy (ART)-naïve PWH in China.

Nevertheless, their combined toxicity on terrestrial plants remains largely unexplored. This study investigated the impact of polypropylene microplastics (MPs), DEHP, and their mixture on the physiological and biochemical characteristics of cucumber seedlings.

Silicon solar cells have been successfully used in large power plants. However, despite the efforts made for more than 50 years, there has been no notable progress in the development of flexible silicon solar cells because of their rigidity.

Experimental and computational results show that TBPB has a relatively higher oxidation activity than base electrolyte, and preferentially constructs a stable cathode electrolyte interphase (CEI) containing B-/Si- components on LCO surface. Theoretical calculation, XPS and NMR data show that TBPB-derived CEI layer contains B-F species and has the function of eliminating HF.

Methods: The longitudinal cohort consisted of 1391 adults who had been examined for BMI 4-15 times over 35.0 years on average since childhood and had data on adult cIMT, systolic blood pressure, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, atherogenic index of plasma, and serum glucose.
Background: Heterozygous variants of KCNQ2 can cause KCNQ2 associated neurodevelopmental disorder, mainly are benign (familial) neonatal or infantile epilepsy (B(F)NE or B(F)IE) and developmental epileptic encephalopathy(DEE). Moreover, some intermediate phenotypes, including intellectual disability (ID), and myokymia are related to the gene.
Methods: We collected a non-syndromic ID male patient with a novel KCNQ2 missense variant.

As an important indicator of phytoplankton in water quality evaluation, the phytoplankton community structure is very sensitive to changes in water quality, and analyzing their community composition and function is of great significance for the ecological management and maintenance of watershed environments. To understand the environment and ecological status as well as reconstruct or restore a healthy aquatic ecosystem in the Huaihe River Basin in China, a comprehensive phytoplankton survey was conducted in the main stream and main tributaries of the Huaihe River in 2019. A total of 266 species or genera of phytoplankton were identified, mainly belonging to Bacillariophyta and Chlorophyta.
