Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) causes significant healthcare burdens worldwide. This study aims to establish a deep learning model for the diagnosis of DVT from the assessment of vein compressibility. Considering the complexity of ultrasound images, convolutional neural networks with UNet and residual neural network (ResNet) are established for image segmentation, from venous duplex ultrasonographic video images, obtained through standard and portable handheld ultrasound methods.

Article Synopsis
  • * Researchers collected a large dataset from 101 surgeries to analyze nociceptive stimuli and medication use, developing new models that can objectively measure surgical nociception more accurately than existing methods.
  • * Their findings suggest that the new models aligned well with known physiological responses to pain, representing progress toward establishing reliable, objective markers for monitoring surgical nociception during operations.

In this study, the photoelectric properties of a complete series of GaSSe (0 ≤ ≤ 1) layered crystals are investigated. The photoconductivity spectra indicate a decreasing bandgap of GaSSe as the Se composition increases. Time-resolved photocurrent measurements reveal a significant improvement in the response of GaSSe to light with increasing .

Early-onset myopia increases the risk of irreversible high myopia. This study systematically evaluated the efficacy and safety of low-dose atropine for myopia control in children with premyopia through meta-analysis using random-effects models. Effect sizes were calculated using risk ratios (RRs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs).
