Ultrasound echo decorrelation imaging can successfully monitor and control thermal ablation of animal liver and tumor tissue ex vivo and in vivo. However, normal and diseased human liver has substantially different physical properties that affect echo decorrelation. Here, effects of human liver tissue condition on ablation guidance by three-dimensional echo decorrelation imaging are elucidated in experiments testing closed-loop control of radiofrequency ablation (RFA) in normal and diseased human liver tissue ex vivo.

The sense of smell may provide access to social information that is unavailable in other sensory domains or enhance the precision and reliability of other sensory cues. However, the cognition of social information in catarrhine primates has been studied primarily in the visual and auditory domain.

Despite its frequent use, prospective data for vedolizumab treatment in children are available only for short-term induction outcomes. We aimed to evaluate the long-term efficacy and safety of maintenance therapy with vedolizumab in paediatric patients with IBD.

In this study, we examined the effect of DDR1 ablation on bone architecture and mechanics as a function of aging.

However, the long-term effects of PT have never been compared with gold-standard treatments for MDD such as pharmacotherapy or psychotherapy alone or in combination.
Methods: This is a 6-month follow-up study of a phase 2, double-blind, randomised, controlled trial involving patients with moderate-to-severe MDD.
