Methods: Flavor chemicals (88) were divided into four different flavor mixtures based upon chemical compatibility and evaluated in 2-week dose-range-finding and subsequent 90-day nose-only rodent inhalation studies (OECD 413 and GLP compliant). Sprague-Dawley rats were exposed to vehicle control or one of three increasing concentrations of each flavor mixture.
For Bacterial Nanocellulose (BNC) production, standard methods are well-established, but there is a pressing need to explore cost-effective alternatives for BNC commercialization. This study investigates the feasibility of using syrup prepared from maize stalk as a valuable nutrient and sustainable carbon source for BNC production. View Article and Find Full Text PDFIn the present study, bacterial nanocellulose/graphene oxide nano-biocomposites (BNC-GO-NBCs) were fabricated by Komagataeibacter saccharivorans NUWB1 using an in-situ method involving three time-dependent approaches. Physicochemical studies showed that the chosen dried BNC-GO-NBC possessed a three-dimensional interconnected porous structure of BNC with GO layers embedded within the BNC fibrils. BNC-GO-NBC had a crystallinity index of 74.
