Purpose: SARS-CoV-2-specific CD8 cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) are crucial in viral clearance, disease progression, and reinfection control. However, numerous SARS-CoV-2 immunodominant CTL epitopes theoretically are still unidentified due to the genetic polymorphism of human leukocyte antigen class I (HLA-I) molecules.

Methods: The CTL epitopes of SARS-CoV-2 were predicted by the epitope affinity and immunogenicity prediction platforms: the NetMHCpan and the PromPPD.

Percutaneous nephrostomy can be an effective means of preventing irreparable renal damage from obstructive renal disease thereby providing patients with more time to access treatment to remove the source of the blockage. In sub-Saharan Africa, where there is limited access to treatments such as dialysis and transplantation, a nephrostomy can be life-saving. Training this procedure in simulation can allow trainees to develop their technical skills without risking patient safety, but still requires an ex-pert observer to provide performative feedback.

Background: As pancreatic cystic neoplasms (PCN) differ in current standard of care, and these treatments can affect quality of life to varying degrees, a definitive preoperative diagnosis must be reliable. Current diagnostic approaches, specifically traditional cross-sectional imaging techniques, face certain limitations. But radiomics has been shown to have high diagnostic accuracy across a range of diseases.

The incidence rate of pancreatic cancer, a fatal illness with a meager 5-year survival rate, has been on the rise in recent times. When individuals accumulate excessive amounts of adipose tissue, the adipose organ becomes dysfunctional due to alterations in the adipose tissue microenvironment associated with inflammation and metabolism. This phenomenon may potentially contribute to the aberrant accumulation of fat that initiates pancreatic carcinogenesis, thereby influencing the disease's progression, resistance to treatment, and metastasis.

To establish a matrix assisted laser desorption ionization-time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) assay for the identification of common serotypes and provide etiology evidence for the early precise treatment of salmonellosis. A total of 500 strains were collected from different regions and sources and five predominant serotypes ( Typhi Paratyphi A Typhimurium Enteritidis and Indiana) of each strain was identified by agglutination test and whole-genome sequencing. The protein complex of the strains was extracted by using optimized pretreatment method to establish the fingerprint database of peptides for each serotype.
