The article deals with materials on radiation hygienic evaluation of radiologic diagnostic departments in various medical institutions of Moscow. The studies covered work of medical staffers in X-ray examination and in contact with short-lived isotope generators. The authors outlined the examination types and stages with maximal radiation danger.

The authors compared nonspecific anti-infectious resistance among medical staffers varying in speciality. Skin microflora parameters and salivary lysozyme content appeared to be considerably lower in obstetric staffers and in State sanitary and epidemiologic supervision officers than in general population.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe experiments on 18 isolated albino rat hearts have shown that sodium nucleinate exerts a protective action on the occurrence of reperfusion ventricular arrhythmias. Sodium nucleinate was given orally in a daily dose of 50/kg for 2 weeks. The agent reduced the blood concentrations of medium-weight molecular peptides, which may be regarded as the liquidation of a factor predisposing to arrhythmias.

Proceeding from an analysis of technological peculiarities of this stage the authors propose recommendations to decrease dose exposures of the hands and body of the staff-members engaged in the administration of radiopharmaceutical drugs.
