Multifaceted approach to evacuating multi-level premacular hemorrhage in a case of suspected Valsalva retinopathy - a case report.

Background: Accurate localization of premacular hemorrhages (PMHs) is crucial as treatment strategies vary significantly based on whether the hemorrhage resides within the vitreous gel, subhyaloid space, or beneath the internal limiting membrane (ILM). This report outlines the clinical features, diagnostic findings, and treatment outcomes in a patient diagnosed with a PMH secondary to suspected Valsalva retinopathy.

Methods: This is a retrospective interventional case report.

Differential response of Bay of Bengal during deficit and normal monsoons.

Present study explains the disparity in biological production (primary and secondary) with respect to two distinct monsoonal regimes in the western Bay of Bengal, viz., deficit monsoon (DM) and normal monsoon (NM). A combination of in situ and satellite data during the years 2002 (DM) and 2003 (NM) was used to address the physico-chemical and biological responses.

Evaluation of carotid intima media thickness measurement from ultrasound images.

A third of deaths in the world are due to cardiovascular diseases [1]. Atherosclerosis is the major cause of myocardial infarction, which occurs by deposition of plaque in the coronary artery. The chance of stroke rises with the thickening of carotid artery due to the plaque.

Description on variability of shelf-edge hydrography and current structure of the South Eastern Arabian Sea during summer and winter monsoons.

The paper describes the hydrography and vertical current structure along the shelf edge of South East Arabian Sea (SEAS) during summer and winter monsoons based on current profiles from moving Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP). During summer monsoon, SEAS was characterized by upwelling with low saline water at the surface along the southern sector (8° N to 11° N). During winter, thermal structure was vertically homogeneous in the upper 80 m, and intrusion of low saline Bay of Bengal waters were found up to 14° N.

Analysis of Carotid Plaque Using Multifractal method in Ultrasound Images.

This paper analyses the non-linear parameters of the plaque in carotid B-mode ultrasound images. In this work an attempt has been made to differentiate textural features of the symptomatic and asymptomatic plaque by multifractal method. The fractal dimension represents irregularity and hence the fractal nature.
