A prospective study was performed to analyse the relationship between urogenital infections caused by Chlamydia trachomatis and occlusions of the fallopian tubes with histologically confirmed chronic salpingitis and salpingitis isthmica nodosa. 110 infertile patients were tested for C. trachomatis infection.
