Objective: To assess whether a hospital emergency department (ED) and community intervention was associated with an increased proportion of patients with stroke receiving thrombolysis.
Design, Setting, And Participants: This nonrandomized controlled trial of the Stroke Ready intervention took place in Flint, Michigan, from October 2017 to March 2020.
Study Design: This was a clinical trial of prospective cohort.
Introduction: Wrist pain in gymnasts is a global phenomenon. Compression forces acting on wrists while performing gymnastics is a predisposing factor in the development of wrist pain and consequential injury of the distal radial physis in skeletally immature gymnasts.

Precise muscle co-ordination is required to maintain normal shoulder function and alterations in synchrony between shoulder muscles can result in loss of full range of movement and pain. Although shoulder pain in kayakers is high with 53% of elite international paddlers reporting shoulder injuries, little information is available regarding the pattern of shoulder muscle recruitment during paddling. The aim of this study was to investigate the normal recruitment pattern of shoulder muscles during the kayak stroke.

Fusion of the metarcarpophalangeal joint of the thumb is an accepted treatment in the management of instability or osteoarthritis following trauma to this joint. A review was made of the literature and 30 of the senior author's (RH) patients who had had this operation, in order to determine what effect the operation had on the pain in their thumb, any symptoms of instability, interference with work and daily activities, and strength in the hand. All of the patients achieved bony union and the average angle of fusion was 7.
