Wine varietal thiols are important contributors to wine aroma. The chemical nature of thiols makes them difficult to measure due to low concentrations, high sensitivity to oxidation, and low ionization. Methods for the measurement of thiols usually consist of multiple steps of sample preparation followed by instrumental measurement.

Safety of TNF-blocking agents in rheumatic patients with serology suggesting past hepatitis B state: results from a cohort of 21 patients.

Introduction: Reactivation of hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection in patients with past infection has been described in 5% to 10% of individuals undergoing immunosuppressive therapies. No data are available to date on the outcome of patients treated by tumour necrosis factor-alpha (TNFalpha) inhibitors for chronic arthritis with a serological pattern of past HBV infection. The aim of our study was to monitor HBV markers in HBV surface antigen (HBsAg)-negative/anti-HBcAb-positive patients treated with a TNFalpha inhibitor for inflammatory arthritides.

Fibrous dysplasia with intramuscular myxoma (Mazabraud's syndrome). Report of a case and review of the literature.

About 30 cases of fibrous dysplasia associated with one or more myxomas (Mazabraud's syndrome) have been reported since 1926. We report a new case in a woman with polyostotic fibrous dysplasia and a myxoma in the left femoral muscle. She also had a history of precocious sexual development and café au lait spots, two manifestations whose association with polyostotic fibrous dysplasia defines McCune-Albright syndrome.

Organization of lateral balance control in toddlers during the first year of independent walking.

The authors of the present study tested the hypothesis that toddlers initiate lateral body stabilization first at the hip level in order to better control the center of gravity (CG), minimize the upper body destabilization induced by the movement of the feet, and prevent falls. Intersegmental coordination among the hip, the shoulder, and the head was investigated in toddlers during their 1st year of independent walking. The efficiency of locomotor balance control was examined in the frontal plane.

[Post-traumatic psoriatic arthritis. 2 cases].

Physical trauma is generally accepted as a possible factor in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis. In the last ten years, there have been a few rare case reports of physical trauma precipitating psoriasic arthritis. We observed two such cases following an occupational accident discovered one and a half year and two and a half year after onset of the first clinical manifestations.
