We investigated ascending somatosensory pathways in neonatally hemidecorticated rats. Injection of an anterograde tracer, biotinylated dextran amine (BDA), into the contralesional dorsal root ganglions revealed ipsilateral projections to the dorsal column nuclei (DCN) in hemidecorticated rats as well as in normal rats.
