Here, we systematically investigate the effect of mesa/sub-mesa sidewall engineering on single-junction (SJ) and high-voltage (HV) deep ultraviolet light-emitting diodes (DUV LEDs). The configuration of ∼46° inclined angle of the mesa/sub-mesa sidewall and Al reflector optimally promotes light extraction of SJ/HV DUV LEDs. We further observe substantial improvements in the self-heating and external quantum efficiency (EQE) droop effects of HV DUV LEDs with an increasing number of sub-mesas.

The alkaline oxygen evolution reaction (OER) mainly encompasses four elementary reactions, involving intermediates such as HO*, O*, and HOO*. Balancing the Gibbs free energies of these intermediates at a single active site is a challenging task. In this work, a high-entropy metal-organic framework incorporating Fe, Ni, Co, Cu, and Y metal elements is synthesized using an electrodeposition method, which then serves as a template for preparing a high-entropy phosphide/carbon (FeCoNiCuYP/C) composite.

Background: An effective urine-based method for the diagnosis, differential diagnosis and prognosis of multiple myeloma (MM) has not yet been developed. Urine cell-free DNA (cfDNA) carrying cancer-specific genetic and epigenetic aberrations may enable a noninvasive "liquid biopsy" for diagnosis and monitoring of cancer.

Methods: We first identified MM-specific hydroxymethylcytosine signatures by comparing 64 MM patients, 23 amyloidosis (AM) patients and 59 healthy cohort.

Background: Idiopathic Nephrotic Syndrome (INS) is a common kidney disease in children, and the main clinical manifestations are hypoproteinaemia, proteinuria, hyperlipidaemia, and oedema. Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) are involved in tissue repair, protection against fibrosis, and immune modulation but have rarely been studied in INS.

Objective: This study aimed to explore the therapeutic potential of stem cells derived from human exfoliated deciduous teeth (SHEDs) in INS using an adriamycin-induced nephropathy (AN) rat model.
