Copper-based alloys designed to combine high electronic and thermal conductivities with high mechanical strength find a wide range of applications in different fields. Among the principal representatives, strongly diluted CuAg alloys are of particular interest as innovative materials for the realization of accelerating structures when the use of high-gradient fields requires increasingly high mechanical and thermal performances to overcome the limitations induced by breakdown phenomena. This work reports the production and optical characterization of CuAg crystals at low Ag concentrations, from 0.

In our past experience, we observed that a bulking agent mound sagittal diameter of 10 mm is the main predictor of effectiveness of the procedure. Moreover we noticed that the use of intraoperative ultrasound, allows the surgeon to better identify the site, volume and shape of the bulking agent injected, finally reducing operative time.

We selected 49 patients treated at our institution between 2015 and 2020 in order to post-operatively evaluate the SPL after one year. SPL was evaluated according to the PH Tanner staging system for pre-pubertal patients according to age-normalized values.

Here, we address the main issues in the design of a VHEE FLASH machine. We present preliminary results for a compact C-band system aiming to reach a high accelerating gradient and high current necessary to deliver a Ultra High Dose Rate with a beam pulse duration of 3μs.
