The Multi-professional Framework (MPF) for Advanced Clinical Practice in England defines the essential capabilities required of advanced clinical practitioners. The Centre for Advanced Practice ePortfolio (supported) route provides a pathway for these practitioners to gain formal recognition, confirming that they meet the educational and experiential standards for advanced practice. This narrative review examines how a diagnostic radiographer from the first cohort successfully demonstrated these capabilities, using excerpts from their ePortfolio and examples of supporting evidence.

Introduction: Ankle injuries that present to the ED with instability of the joint due to multiple fractures/disruption of the mortise need to be re-aligned promptly to minimise complications. A protocol change was introduced whereby mobile radiographs would be performed in the ED resuscitation room during manipulation of a complex ankle injury. The aim of this study was to determine if the overall time to definitive reduction had reduced for these patients, improving patient flow.

Introduction: Effective utilisation of the unregistered support workforce is essential to counter a well-documented imaging workforce crisis, yet it is unclear how imaging departments deploy their support staff. As part of a wider explanatory mixed methods study, this research explored models of support workforce deployment across England, identifying the factors which may encourage or inhibit implementation of these models.

Methods: Imaging support workforce deployment at regional and place (NHS Trust) level was investigated using Framework Analysis to combine interviews with Imaging Network representatives and Radiology Service Managers (RSMs) alongside workforce establishment data.

Background: Healthcare worker migration, influenced by push and pull factors, is accentuated by active recruitment strategies of developed nations. This scoping review explores experiences of internationally educated nurses, midwives, and healthcare professionals in the UK since 2010, acknowledging the historical context of UK recruitment policy and the implementation of codes of practice by the World Health Organisation and the UK government.

Methods: Using the Population, Concept, and Context framework, systematic literature searches were conducted in various databases, including CINAHL, Science Direct, Scopus, PubMed/Medline, and Google Scholar.
