Research has found that helping others facilitates well-being for Indigenous peoples living with HIV and AIDS, but limited research exists that investigates the mechanism(s) underlying this relationship. Indigenous perspectives posit that helping others facilitates well-being through the development of an individual's spiritual, physical, emotional, and mental aspects (four aspects). Similarly, self-determination theory posits that helping others facilitates well-being by satisfying basic psychological needs.

Sex differences in acromegaly at diagnosis: A nationwide cohort study and meta-analysis of the literature.

Objective: Data on sex differences in acromegaly at the time of diagnosis vary considerably between studies.

Design: A nationwide cohort study including all incident cases of acromegaly (1978-2010, n = 596) and a meta-analysis on sex differences in active acromegaly (40 studies) were performed.

Method: Sex-dependent differences in prevalence, age at diagnosis, diagnostic delay, pituitary adenoma size, insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-I) and growth hormone (GH) concentrations were estimated.

Lung cancer biomarker testing: perspective from Europe.

A questionnaire on biomarker testing previously used in central European countries was extended and distributed in Western and Central European countries to the pathologists participating at the Pulmonary Pathology Society meeting 26-28 June 2019 in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Each country was represented by one responder. Comparison of PD-L1 Expression Using 2 Validated PD-L1 IHC 22C3 pharmDx Methods in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer in a Routine Hospital Setting.

Concordance between 3 validated, commercial programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1) assays and their associated platforms (PD-L1 IHC 22C3 pharmDx Autostainer Link 48, PD-L1 IHC 28-8 pharmDx Autostainer Link 48, and Ventana SP263) has been demonstrated in non-small cell lung cancer. No comparison studies exist for IHC 22C3 pharmDx on the Dako Omnis platform. PD-L1 scoring can be challenging and time-consuming, but no quantitative data exist.
