Predictors of intention to stay in the profession among novice nurses: a cross-sectional study.

Background: Preserving new graduate nurses in the profession is an essential step for addressing the nursing shortage and sustaining the future of the profession. This study aimed to examine the relationship between employment characteristics and job satisfaction of novice nurses and their willingness to stay in the nursing profession in the next 5 years.

Methods: Novice nurses' intention to stay in the profession was assessed, considering demographics, employment characteristics, and components of job satisfaction.

Israeli men's attitudes toward posthumous reproduction and prior consent amid ongoing armed conflict.

Background: From October 7, 2023, until August 28, 2024, 187 posthumous sperm retrieval (PSR) procedures have been conducted on deceased men, 171 of whom are soldiers. PSR was predominantly initiated by parents to cope with their profound loss. However, the attitudes of Israeli men toward this procedure are unknown.

Civilians under missile attack: post-traumatic stress disorder among the Jewish and Bedouin population of Southern Israel.

Background: Over the past 20 years, Jewish and Bedouin civilians in southern Israel have faced the ongoing threat of missile attacks from Gaza, with possible mental health consequences. This study aimed to assess the prevalence of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) among Jewish and Bedouin adult civilians in southern Israel in a period with few missile attacks from Gaza, and no military operations.

Methods: The study population included 389 participants (246 Jews, 143 Bedouins) living within 40 km/25 mi from Gaza for at least 2 years and interviewed between January and March 2023 (before the ongoing war that started on October 7th, 2023).

Lessons Learned From Data Falsification During an Academic Course Using A Root-Cause Analysis: A Case Report.

Background: Fabricating data or creating fictitious datasets undermines research credibility with severe consequences.

Purpose: To describe a data falsification incident that occurred during an undergraduate nursing research seminar and share the subsequent corrective measures employed at individual and class levels.

Methods: The students involved in the falsification were asked to identify the incident's factors using an Ishikawa diagram and the 5M-Model approach, presenting their findings to the class.

Background: During the past two decades, there have been many changes in automotive and medical technologies, road infrastructure, trauma systems, and demographic changes which may have influenced injury outcomes. The aim of this study was to examine injury trends among traffic casualties, specifically private car occupants, hospitalized in Level I Trauma Centers (TC).

Methods: A retrospective cohort study was performed based on data from the Israel National Trauma Registry.
