Caseous Lymphadenitis (CLA) is a chronic disease that affects also small ruminants. CLA is caused by Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis and is responsible for high economic losses due to the formation of superficial and visceral granulomas, the latter is considered as asymptomatic CLA causing high levels of dissemination. Several vaccination strategies, in which the use of synthetic peptides stands out.

Purpose:: To investigate the cellular response to injury, analyzing histopathologic changes associated with increased cellularity, degeneration and disorganization of collagen fibers.

Most existing photobioreactors do a poor job of distributing light uniformly due to shading effects. One method by which this could be improved is through the use of internal wave-guiding structures incorporating engineered light scattering schemes. By varying the density of these scatterers, one can control the spatial distribution of light inside the reactor enabling better uniformity of illumination.
