Care for older adults living with dementia in the emergency department: a systematic review and meta-synthesis of care partner roles and perspectives.

Objective: Care partners play a vital role in supporting persons living with dementia (PLWD) in using medical services. We conducted a meta-synthesis to explore care partner perspectives of ED care for PLWD, as well as healthcare provider (HCP) perceptions of care partner roles within the ED, to identify care gaps and facilitators across the ED continuum.

Methods: MEDLINE, PsycINFO and Embase databases were searched from inception to 8 May 2023.

In the food industry, they are increasingly used to replace synthetic additives, aligning with consumer demand for natural ingredients, by substituting artificial flavors, colorants, and preservatives. Microcapsules can be added to a vast range of foods and beverages, including bakery products, candies, meat products, and sauces, as well as active food packages.

Comparative Kidney Uptake of Nanobody-Based PET Tracers Labeled with Various Fluorine-18-Labeled Prosthetic Groups.

Nanobodies, or single-domain antibody fragments, are promising candidates for molecular imaging due to their small size, rapid tissue penetration, and high target specificity. However, a significant challenge in their use is high renal uptake and retention, which can limit the therapeutic efficacy and complicate image interpretation. This study compares five different fluorine-18-labeled prosthetic groups for nanobodies, aiming to optimize pharmacokinetics and minimize kidney retention while maintaining tumor targeting.
