Wonder exalts its object. Can it also degrade? This question was a central interpretive tension guiding the author's archival research and analysis when he set out to write his first book almost 30 years ago, about a 19th-century woman who was simultaneously degraded-for her race, her disability, her old age, and her enslavement-and lionized for the stories she had to tell and for the symbolism of her very existence. The author reflects on how his fascination with the story he was recovering in the archives reflected his "positionality," or the ways in which his social identity shaped his understanding.

Longevity and risk factors of CAD-CAM manufactured implant-supported all-ceramic crowns - A prospective, multi-center, practice-based cohort study.

Objectives: The aim of this prospective, multi-center, practice-based cohort study was to analyze factors associated with the success of implant supported all-ceramic single-unit crowns, made by computer-aided-design/computer-aided-manufacturing (CAD-CAM).

Methods: All-ceramic crowns placed in a private practice-based research network (Ceramic Success Analysis, AG Keramik) were analyzed. Data from 567patients with CAD-CAM implant supported all-ceramic crowns placed between 2008-2023 by 54dentists were evaluated.

Purpose: The primary aim of this study was to evaluate the indications and additional information provided by videourodynamic study (VUDS) over urodynamic studies (UDS) in men with spinal cord injury (SCI) and neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction (NLUTD). A frequently used treatment strategy in locally advanced rectal cancer (RC) is neoadjuvant therapy followed by surgery. Patients treated with neoadjuvant therapy achieve varying pathological response, and currently, predicting the degree of response is challenging. This study examined the association between digitally assessed histopathological features in the diagnostic biopsies and pathological response to neoadjuvant therapy, aiming to find potential predictive biomarkers.
