Introduction: Idiopathic Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss as a subset of sensorineural hearing loss will be confirmed by a progressive hearing loss of at least 30 dB at three contiguous frequencies over 72 hours or less. A sudden or abrupt hearing loss correlates with the time course, and a vascular event is presumptive aetiology. There is an inverse association between Omega-3 consumption and hearing loss.

Comparing the Effect of Ketamine and Lidocaine on Agitation and Pain in Rhinoplasty: A Randomized Clinical Trial.

Background: Emergence agitation (EA) is an important clinical problem that occurs during the initial period of recovery from anesthesia. This study aimed to determine the effects of ketamine and lidocaine administered on agitation level, postoperative pain, and hemodynamic changes in adults after rhinoplasty.

Introduction: The categorization of delayed endolymphatic hydrops (DEH) based on the ear which produces vertigo may sometimes cause misdiagnosis.

Objectives: The aim of this study was investigating the vestibular-evoked myogenic potentials (VEMPs), electrocochleography (ECoG), and videonystagmography (VNG) in cases with DEH to determine the ear that originates symptoms.

Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 34 patients - 20 males and 14 females - with profound unilateral sensorineural deafness and vertigo attacks were recruited and evaluated by the ECoG, VNG, and VEMPs tests.
