The ongoing coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic has created a substantial disease burden and morbidity. However, the development of subcutaneous emphysema, pneumomediastinum, and pneumothorax have been of rare occurrence and their significance in mortality has not been studied. In a retrospective single-institution observational study at a tertiary care centre in the northern part of India, we evaluated the occurrence of these complications and their relationship with mortality from 1 June 2020 to 30 November 2020.

Next-generation electronics and energy technologies can now be developed as a result of the design, discovery, and development of novel, environmental friendly lead (Pb)-free ferroelectric materials with improved characteristics and performance. However, there have only been a few reports of such complex materials' design with multi-phase interfacial chemistry, which can facilitate enhanced properties and performance. In this context, herein, novel lead-free piezoelectric materials (1-x)Ba Ca Ti Zr O -(x)Ba Ca Ti Sn O , are reported, which are represented as (1-x)BCZT-(x)BCST, with demonstrated excellent properties and energy harvesting performance.

Background: Treatment methods for cancer that are widely being utilized affect both normal and cancerous cells. We report synthesis polyethylene glycol (PEG)-coated FeO nanoparticles (NPs) and its characteristic properties and appraise its potential as a promising radiation sensitizer candidate in radiotherapy that improves cancer treatment and reduces side effects of radiation.

Materials And Methods: PEG-coated FeO NPs were synthesized by chemical coprecipitation method and characterized by studying their size, structure, functional group, stability, magnetization, and cytotoxicity using different techniques.

Traumatic manubriosternal joint dislocation in blunt thoracic trauma is of rare occurrence with only few case reports in the literature. We present a rare case of occult manubriosternal dislocation that was evident only after cervico-dorsal spine fracture correction. Thirty-one-year-old gentleman sustained multiple fractures of C6, C7, and D1 vertebral bodies; bilateral transverse process of C7, D1,and D3; left transverse process of D12; right transverse process of D4; and right clavicle fracture along with bilateral multiple rib fractures after fall from bike at high velocity.

We demonstrate the synthesis of gold nanoparticles (AuNP) stabilized by 1-butyl-3-hexadecyl imidazolium bromide (Au@[CCIm]Br) and their use as a catalyst for the reduction of nitrophenol. The AuNPs show excellent stability in presence of [CCIm]Br ionic liquids for the reduction of 4-nitrophenol and 2-nitrophenol using NaBH as a reducing agent. The detailed kinetics for the reduction of 4-nitrophenol and 2-nitrophenol were investigated and the catalytic activity of Au@[CCIm]Br was evaluated.
