A novel multi-model estimation of phosphorus in coal and its ash using FTIR spectroscopy.

The level of phosphorus must be carefully monitored for proper and effective utilization of coal and coal ash. The phosphorus content needs to be assessed to optimize combustion efficiency and maintenance costs of power plants, ensure quality, and minimize the environmental impact of coal and coal ash. The detection of low levels of phosphorus in coal and coal ash is a significant challenge due to its complex chemical composition and low concentration levels.

Design, synthesis, and biological evaluation of quinoline-piperazine/pyrrolidine derivatives as possible antileishmanial agents.

In pursuance of our efforts to expand the scope of novel antileishmanial entities, a series of thirty-five quinoline-piperazine/pyrrolidine, and other heterocyclic amine derivatives were synthesized via a molecular hybridization approach and examined against intracellular amastigotes of luciferase-expressing Leishmania donovani. The preliminary in vitro screening suggests that twelve compounds in the series exhibited better inhibition against amastigote form with good IC values ranging from 2.09 to 8.

Surgical management of stricture urethra in patients with chronic renal failure: Ten years' experience at a tertiary center.

Introduction: Patients suffering from stricture urethra and deranged renal function have poor quality of life. The incidence of urethral stricture co-existing with renal failure is comparatively small and cause may be multifactorial. There is paucity of literature on management of urethral stricture associated with deranged renal function.
