Introduction: Owing to the lack of local cost and clinical effectiveness data in sub-Saharan Africa, economic evaluations of the rotavirus vaccine are still limited in the region. In this study, we utilize different data sources, including aggregated routine health information system data to examine the net benefits of the rotavirus vaccine in Uganda. We also present ways in which health facility data can be used to assess subnational vaccination coverage as well as the effect of the vaccine on diarrhoea hospitalization.

Countries with moderate to high measles-containing vaccine coverage face challenges in reaching the remaining measles zero-dose children. There is growing interest in targeted vaccination activities to reach these children. We developed a framework for prioritizing districts for targeted measles and rubella supplementary immunization activities (SIAs) for Zambia in 2020, incorporating the use of the WHO's Measles Risk Assessment Tool (MRAT) and serosurveys.

Due to unique demands on students in medical education, this study examined the relationship between educational and demographic factors with undergraduate medical students' exam performance in a semester-long medical neuroscience course. Engaging with a mixed-enrollment cohort of medical students, the study used self-reported survey data and exam scores to specifically examine the relationships with growth mindset, use of study strategies, confidence, attendance, and demographic characteristics. Chi-square, ANOVA, and correlational tests revealed interesting and complex relationships among the study variables, which, in some cases, support and other cases challenge existing findings in the academic discourse.

Objective: To quantify the association between reduction in child mortality and routine immunization across 204 countries and territories from 1990 to 2019.

Methods: We used child mortality and vaccine coverage data from the Global Burden of Disease Study. We used a modified child survival framework and applied a mixed-effects regression model to estimate the reduction in deaths in children younger than 5 years associated with eight vaccines.
