Purpose: To investigate the efficacy, safety, tolerability, and serum IgG trough levels of hyaluronidase-facilitated subcutaneous immunoglobulin (fSCIG) 10% in US pediatric patients with primary immunodeficiency diseases (PIDDs).
Methods: This phase 3, open-label, prospective study (NCT03277313) was conducted at 17 US centers. Eligible patients aged 2 to < 16 years had PIDDs and had received immunoglobulin G (IgG) at a consistent dose for ≥ 3 months before screening.
This paper outlines the implementation of opt-out HIV and Hepatitis C (HCV) screening at a syringe services program (SSP) in Florida, highlighting its effectiveness in reducing the transmission of these infectious diseases. Historically, many SSPs have utilized opt-in testing models, which require participants to actively choose testing and often result in low participation rates. Recognizing the need for a more effective approach and to comply with Florida's regulatory requirements under the Infectious Disease Elimination Act, we transitioned to an opt-out testing model at our SSP.

The Dog Aging Project designed the precision cohort to study the mechanisms underlying age-related change in the metabolome, microbiome, and epigenome in companion dogs, an emerging model system for translational geroscience research. One thousand dog-owner pairs were recruited into cohort strata based on life stage, sex, size, and geography.

However, age-related changes in insulin isoforms and insulin receptors in myogenic progenitor satellite cells have not been studied. Since SKM is an extra-pancreatic tissue that does not express mature insulin, we investigated the levels of insulin receptors (INSRs) and a novel human insulin upstream open reading frame (INSU) at the mRNA, protein, and anatomical levels in Baltimore Longitudinal Study of Aging (BLSA) biopsied SKM samples of 27-89-year-old (yrs) participants.
