Schistosomiasis, an endemic neglected tropical disease in areas with poor sanitation, causes physical and mental defects in both children and adults. Various strategies, especially drug administration for morbidity control, have been implemented to combat the disease in Ghana and globally. Despite these efforts, schistosomiasis remains prevalent in Ghana, negatively impacting children's academic performance, growth, and overall quality of life.

A right ventricular assist device (RVAD) using a dual-lumen percutaneous cannula inserted through the right internal jugular vein (IJV) might improve weaning in patients with refractory right ventricular (RV) failure. However, the reported experience with this cannula is limited. We reviewed the records of all patients receiving RVAD support with this new dual-lumen cannula at our institution between April 2017 and February 2019.

The pleomorphic adenoma of lacrimal gland presents as a painless, progressive, slowly growing supero-temporal swelling with variable proptosis. This tumor is usually found in adults and extremely rare in teenage. We report a case of a 15-year-old boy with pleomorphic adenoma of lacrimal gland which mimicked pseudotumor of orbit due to its presentation as an orbital inflammatory disease and the age distribution.

To identify the most common isolates from the corneal ulcers with antimicrobial pattern of bacterial isolates. All patients with suspected corneal ulceration presenting to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences from Jan 2004 - Dec 2008 were evaluated. Corneal scraping was performed and processed for direct microscopy, bacteriological and fungal culture.
