34 years old male from north-east India, a known case of retroviral disease, presented with shortness of breath and significant weight loss and was found to have pancytopenia, skin lesions, organomegaly, generalized lymphadenopathy, cavitary lung disease with very low CD4 counts. He failed to improve on empirical antitubercular therapy and further evaluation revealed features of disseminated talaromycosis on bone marrow studies. We hereby present an interesting case of a systemic fungal disease in the setting of advanced HIV infection.

Platelet parameters like Mean platelet volume (MPV), platelet distribution width (PDW) and WBC parameters like Neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet to lymphocyte ratio(PLR) have recently been emerging as a new prognostic marker in number of coronary artery disease (CAD) with limited studies to explore their utility.
Aims And Objectives: this study aimed to evaluate MPV, P-LCR, PDW, PLR, NLR and GRACE risk score in CAD patients.
Background: Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) has emerged as a curative measure for life-threatening hematological disorders. It can be autologous or allogeneic depending on the disease characteristics. Providing transfusion support to the transplant patients can be challenging, especially in AB-mismatched allogeneic HSCT.

Morvan syndrome is a rare autoimmune disorder, characterized by hyperexcitability of both central and peripheral nervous systems, accompanied by autonomic dysfunction and hallucinations. Therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE) has been found to be an effective mode of treatment for this disease, but there is limited literature supporting the same. A 26-year-old male was admitted to our hospital and diagnosed with a case of Morvan syndrome, based on the clinical picture and laboratory findings.

The use of Plerixafor with G-CSF for PBSC mobilisation significantly improves the chances of a successful mobilization. Plerixafor is a costly therapy and increases the overall costs of ASCT which can affect the number of patients being taken up for ASCT in resource limited settings.
