Objective: By modelling patient exposures of interventional procedures, this study compares the reduction of radiation detriment between Digital Variance Angiography (DVA) and Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA).

Methods: The paper presents a retrospective risk assessment using an in-house developed tool on 107 patient exposures from a clinical trial of DVA used to diagnose peripheral arterial disease (PAD). DICOM exposure parameters were used to initiate the PENELOPE (PENetration and Energy LOss of Positrons and Electrons) Monte Carlo simulation, radiation quality and quantity, and irradiation geometry.

Introduction: The development of anti-HLA donor specific antibodies (DSAs) is associated with poor outcomes in kidney transplant recipients. It is surmised that an interaction between DSAs and the graft endothelium cause tissue injury, however, the exact underlying pathomechanism and optimal management of patients with DSAs remain undetermined.

Aims: We hypothesized that in kidney transplant recipients the presence of DSAs induce hemostasis alterations, including hypercoagulability, as assessed by the thrombin generation assay (TGA).

The evaluation of hemodynamic conditions in critical limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI) patients is inevitable in endovascular interventions. In this study, the performance of color-coded digital subtraction angiography (ccDSA) and the recently developed color-coded digital variance angiography (ccDVA) was compared in the assessment of key time parameters in lower extremity interventions. The observational study included 19 CLTI patients who underwent peripheral vascular intervention at our institution in 2020.

Background: The onset of proteinuria in renal allograft recipients is frequently associated with an increased risk for both graft failure and mortality. We investigated the risk associated with post-transplant proteinuria and its time-dynamics in a select group treated for biopsy proven antibody-mediated rejection (ABMR).

Methods: Eighty-five patients who underwent transplantation were enrolled in our study and followed up from transplantation until October 31, 2020, death, or the date of the return to dialysis.
