Pre-nasoalveolar molding (PNAM) was developed to reduce the severity of the initial cleft alveolar and nasal deformity. The nasoalveolar moulding appliance (NAM) consists of an intraoral moulding plate with nasal stents to mould the alveolar ridge and nasal cartilage concurrently. Use of the NAM technique also reduces surgical columella reconstruction and the resultant scar tissue in bilateral cleft lip and palate.

Objective: To identify the correlates of early breastfeeding (BF) cessation and breastmilk expression (BE) among mothers 12 months after childbirth.

Methods: We used a case-control study design to compare characteristics between mothers who stopped BF and expressed breastmilk 12 months after childbirth in Uganda. BF practices were determined in 12-month follow-up interviews using an adapted World Health Organization infant feeding questionnaire.

Objective: The objective of this study was to evaluate, using clinical and computed tomography, outcomes of unilateral SARPE with a bone-borne hyrax appliance in case of unilateral crossbite and to assess the correlations between hyrax appliance opening and post-SARPE skeletal changes.

Materials And Methods: Two patients of unilateral crossbite underwent Unilateral SARPE and post-surgical expansion of maxilla using a bone-borne hyrax appliance. Computed tomography was used to make comparative linear and angular measurements of the anterior, intermediate, and posterior portions of the maxilla.
