The paper is concerned with an essential blood characteristic--viscosity which is considered in relation of mechanisms responsible for its normal and abnormal characteristics, its role in the onset of circulatory disorders. High blood viscosity may contribute to development of vascular disturbances. Efficient methods of normalizing high blood viscosity are analyzed with special emphasis on photochemotherapy.
