Background: Sleep disorders are common in people with Huntington's Disease (HD). Possible causes include disruptions to the body's internal clock and changes in melatonin levels. Although melatonin is known to treat sleep disruptions related to circadian rhythm disorders, its effects on HD patients have not been thoroughly explored.

Background: Women with prior gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) are at increased risk of type 2 diabetes, and lifestyle intervention (LSI) offered a decade after pregnancy is effective in preventing diabetes. However, since diabetes frequently onsets in the initial years following pregnancy, preventive actions should be implemented closer to pregnancy. We aimed to assess the effect of lifestyle interventions, compared to standard care, in reducing the incidence of diabetes following a pregnancy complicated by GDM.

Objectives: To evaluate the association of clinical, electrocardiographic, and echocardiographic parameters with prevalent atrial fibrillation or flutter (AFF) and assess the risk profile for incident AFF using the AF prediction scores CHARGE-AF and EHR in an elderly population from a developing country.
Methods: We included all participants in ELSA-Brasil aged 60 and over whose diagnosis of AFF could be defined through self-report or electrocardiogram and who had echocardiography performed at the study's baseline.
Background: Although movement behaviors are linked to mortality risk, few studies investigated the associations between daily steps and movement behaviors and all-cause mortality in low- and middle-income countries.
Objective: We investigated associations of step count, total activity volume, moderate-and-vigorous physical activity (MVPA), light-intensity physical activity (LPA), sedentary behavior, sleep duration, and various isotemporal substitutions with all-cause mortality in middle-aged and older Brazilian adults.
Methods: ELSA-Brasil cohort study 3rd wave (2017-2019) participants wore an ActiGraph wGT3X-BT on the waist for seven days and completed a sleep diary.
