[Comparison of the evaluation of the periodontium status in 12-year- old children in 6-year interval (years of research 1987 and 1993)].

The comparison of the evaluation results of the periodontium status has been made in 12 years old children from Warsaw, Sulejówek and Wiazowna region at 6 years interval. In both studies the same criteria have been applied. A significant improvement in the periodontium status was observed in the second study.

[Teeth condition in children aged 7 years in Warsaw and the province of Warsaw].

[Oral cavity changes in children with acute leukemia during long-term chemotherapy].

In two girls with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia during long-standing remission development of oral mucosa changes was observed. The lesions are believed to be connected with intensive treatment with many drugs. The morphological pattern of the lesions is analysed, and the results of histological, bacteriological and mycological of the mucosa are discussed.

[Introduction of a new technique of partial pulp amputation in permanent teeth in children after mechanical injuries. Preliminary communication].

The study material comprised 56 permanent teeth with traumatic pulp exposure complicated in 15 cases by partial tooth luxation in 52 children aged from 7 to 15 years. In each case routine clinical and radiological examinations were done. The time between trauma and procedure ranged from several hours to 70 days.

[Assessment of the condition of the parodontium in children aged 12 years using the parodontal treatment needs index].

The purpose of the study was an evaluation of the status of the parodontium and the needs for parodontal disease treatment using the index of treatment needs. The condition of the parodontium was assessed in 180 children aged 12 years in Warsaw, Sulejówek and the Wiazowna Communitty, 60 children from each population. The examinations were carried out in school stomatological offices using a calibrated probe as recommended by the WHO.
