Introduction: Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) is a non-invasive technique with therapeutic potential, especially in respiratory muscle training (RMT) in pathological conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and heart failure.
Objective: To evaluate the effect of bilateral cathodic tDCS on respiratory muscle strength and endurance in healthy young and elderly women.
Methods: An experimental, randomized study with 80 participants divided into young and old women, subdivided into intervention and sham control groups.

Orofacial pain affects 10-15% of adults and can severely impact quality of life. Despite ongoing treatment challenges, monoterpene alpha-phellandrene (PHE) shows potential therapeutic benefits. This study aimed to develop and evaluate an inclusion complex of PHE with hydroxypropyl-beta-cyclodextrin (PHE-HPβCD) for treating orofacial pain.

Given the current lack of efficient technologies to remove/treat these toxic drugs in wastewater treatment plants, the environmental quality is compromised, and aquatic organisms are at risk. To address this critical environmental burden, a new strategy based on supported ionic liquids (SILs) for the simultaneous removal of oncologic drugs and toxicity reduction of aqueous samples is here proposed.
