La presente revisión narrativa se propuso actualizar la evidencia disponible sobre detección y prevención del riesgo, con la finalidad de promover líneas de acción para el abordaje temprano e integral de este complejo y multicausal problema; evaluar la posibilidad de fortalecer políticas, programas y acciones para potenciar los recursos existentes y/o promover la creación de otros nuevos. La prevención destaca la necesidad de estrategias personalizadas y colaboración interdisciplinaria.

Long-Term Outcomes of Surgical Decompression in Treating Calcifying Odontogenic Cyst Associated With Compound Odontoma: A 9-Year Follow-Up Case Report and Literature Review.

A calcifying odontogenic cyst (COC) is a cystic lesion originating from odontogenic epithelium, exhibiting ameloblastomatous features and containing focal accumulations of ghost cells. The standard treatment for COC typically involves enucleation followed by surgical curettage. However, if the cyst is large or closely associated with anatomical structures, decompression may be considered as a preliminary step before enucleation.

Nursing Skills in the Care of Patients With Respiratory Stomas in Hospitals With and Without Advanced Practice Tracheostomy Service.

Aims: To identify whether there are differences in knowledge regarding the management of patients with respiratory stomas among nurses working in hospitals with an advanced practice tracheostomy service compared to those without it.

Design: Descriptive, cross-sectional, comparative, analytical survey study.

Method: The study was conducted from January to March 2023 in four tertiary care hospitals, two of which have an advanced practice tracheostomy service.
