The case study analyzes the effects of training and technical assistance on the amount of community changes facilitated by members of a community coalition to prevent adolescent substance use. The study examines the sustainability of these changes in the community over time. The coalition implemented a Community Change Intervention that focused on building coalition capacity to support implementation of community changes-program, policy, and practice changes.

Volume-rendered 3DE has been shown to be accurate for the measurement of right ventricular (RV) volumes in vitro and in animal studies; however, few data are available regarding its accuracy in patients. This study examined the accuracy of 3DE for quantitation of RV volumes and ejection fraction (EF) in patients, compared to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and radionuclide ventriculography (RNV).

Methods: Adenosine MCE was performed in 64 subjects, referred for stress thallium-201 single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) for known or suspected CAD. Each patient received adenosine by multiple boluses (6-12 mg/bolus) and infusion (140 mug/kg per min for 6 min) forms in random order, given at least 20 minutes apart.
Between 1963 and 1990, Austria had iodized salt prophylaxis of endemic goitre with 10 mg KI (7.5 mg I) per kg. This was obviously insufficient, as urinary iodine excretion ranged from 42 to 78 microg I per g of creatinine and goitre in adults remained in the endemic range of 15%-30%.

Quantitative comparison between the DTPA aerosol and krypton gas demonstrated a close correlation with respect to regional pulmonary distribution of activity and peripheral lung penetration (n = 14, r = 0.94, P < 0.
