The tyrosine kinase Inhibitor (TKI) imatinib is approved for the treatment of the chronic phase of chronic myeloid leukemia (CP-CML). Pharmacokinetic studies have highlighted the importance of inter-patient variability on imatinib plasma trough concentrations (ima[C]min). In the OPTIM-imatinib trial, we demonstrated that therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) is able to improve the molecular response of CP-CML patients treated with imatinib.

Complementary tools are warranted to increase the sensitivity of the initial testing for COVID-19. We identified a specific 'sandglass' aspect on the white blood cell scattergram of COVID-19 patients reflecting the presence of circulating plasmacytoid lymphocytes. Patients were dichotomized as COVID-19-positive or -negative based on reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and chest computed tomography (CT) scan results.

Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a life-threatening disease that can be induced by dasatinib, a dual Src and BCR-ABL tyrosine kinase inhibitor that is used to treat chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML). Today, key questions remain regarding the mechanisms involved in the long-term development of dasatinib-induced PAH. Here, we demonstrated that chronic dasatinib therapy causes pulmonary endothelial damage in humans and rodents.
