SATB2 Expression Affects Chemotherapy Metabolism and Immune Checkpoint Gene Expression in Colorectal Cancer.

Background: Special AT-rich binding protein-2 (SATB2) is a nuclear matrix associated protein regulating gene expression which is normally expressed in colonic tissue. Loss of SATB2 expression in colorectal cancer (CRC) has negative implications for prognosis and has been associated with chemotherapy resistance. Furthermore, recent evidence suggests SATB2 may influence immune checkpoint (IC) expression.

Stalking the stalk: Isolated pituitary stalk thickening and predictive factors for proliferative disease.

Background: Few studies have evaluated predictive factors of isolated pituitary stalk thickening (iPST) in children.

Methods: In this retrospective study, radiology, endocrinology, and neuro-oncology databases were interrogated to identify patients with iPST between January 2000 and June 2019. A blinded, longitudinal assessment of MRIs was performed using quantitative, semi-quantitative, and qualitative metrics.

Introduction: Episodes of alienation and/or anomie in pharmacists have been reported in historical accounts since the 19th century. Alienation and anomie are distinct types of psychological or social ills where people are problematically separated from, or their skills and values are misaligned with, others and their environment. Alienation and/or anomie can be important precursors of many negative work experiences, including job dissatisfaction, burnout and/or intention to leave.

Reliability of Intestinal Ultrasound for Evaluating Crohn's Disease Activity Using Point-of-care and Central Reading.

Background & Aims: Intestinal ultrasound (IUS) is increasingly used to assess Crohn's disease (CD) activity in clinical practice. However, application in clinical trials has been limited by heterogeneous scoring methods and concerns about reliability. We aimed to determine the inter- and intra-rater reliability of locally and centrally read IUS parameters for evaluating CD using prospectively performed scans.
