Tumor classification of adenoid cystic carcinoma: systematic review and meta-analysis.

Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma - ACC is a common neoplasm in major and minor salivary glands with a high risk of metastasis. Thus, the objective of the present study was to perform an analysis to better understand the histological grading systems of the ACC and its influence on tumor prognosis in terms of overall survival, disease-free and metastasis-free. This is a systematic review, with meta-analysis, based on the PRISMA parameters.

Microplastics (MPs) are pervasive environmental contaminants even in remote and pristine locations. Despite extensive literature documenting their widespread presence in marine environments, there is limited understanding of MP contamination in Marine Protected Areas (MPAs), particularly in developing countries. This study assessed MP contamination using multiple filter-feeding bivalve species as sentinels.

Association of inflammatory markers and multimorbidity in young adults: cross-sectional findings from the Pelotas (Brazil) birth cohort, 1993.

Early diagnosis can be a beneficial factor for minimizing health risks related to multimorbidity. This study aims to assess the association of multimorbidity with interleukin 6 (IL-6), C-reactive protein (CRP), and adiponectin in 22-year-old participants of the Pelotas (Brazil) birth cohort. A total of 3,578 subjects had serum measurements of IL-6, CRP, and adiponectin at the 22-year-old visit.

Species phenology is being altered by ongoing climate changes with yet underappreciated consequences for ecological processes and ecosystem stability. Contrary to what happens with some key life events of flowering plants, comparatively little information exists about fern and lycophyte phenology and how it is affected by the current climatic changes. In part, this stems from the lack of long-term datasets.
