Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is now recognized to be a multifactorial disorder caused by several endotypes that differ between individuals and patient populations. In order to understand the current clinical implications of OSA endotypes, this review aims to examine the current state of play in endotype measurements, endotype modification and their impact on clinical outcomes/prognosis. In summary, the field has developed multiple techniques to measure the endotypes over the last few decades.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFCircular RNAs (circRNAs) are closed-loop RNAs forming a covalent bond between their 3' and 5' ends, the back splice junction (BSJ), rendering them resistant to exonucleases and thus more stable compared to linear RNAs. Identification of circRNAs and distinction from their cognate linear RNA is only possible by sequencing the BSJ that is unique to the circRNA. CircRNAs are involved in the regulation of their cognate RNAs by increasing transcription rates, RNA stability, and alternative splicing.

Practices that reduce perceived conflict between religion and evolution have been proposed to increase student evolution acceptance. This study investigates college student experiences of conflict reducing practices in evolution education and how these experiences are related to their gains in acceptance of human evolution during evolution instruction.

Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional survey using the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Generic Job Stress Questionnaire and Copenhagen Burnout Inventory to examine burnout and job stress.
