Short-term memory loss is a common complication after intracranial hemorrhage or traumatic brain injury. FDA-approved cholinesterase inhibitors for memory symptoms of Alzheimer's disease have not been proven effective for improving memory impairment resulting from a hemorrhagic event. The purpose of this case study was to present the potential effectiveness of a compounded nasal spray containing methylcobalamin in improving short-term memory function in a patient post-intracranial hemorrhage.

Objective: The goal of this study was to investigate whether blended online with laboratory instruction differs from traditional classroom lecture and laboratory with regard to student satisfaction and performance in a radiographic technique class teaching radiation health and physics.

Methods: Following institutional review board approval, 122 participants were randomly assigned to either an online or classroom environment for the lecture portion of the course. All participants attended weekly laboratory sessions in person.

Clinical Features: A 39-year-old woman presented with pain and swelling of her left ankle immediately following a boogie boarding accident a few days earlier. Her clinical presentation was similar to that of an ankle sprain.

Tetralogy of Fallot is a congenital disease caused by structural defects within the heart that can lead to cyanosis. The purpose of this case report is to discuss the use of PracaSil-Plus, a proprietary topical anhydrous silicone base containing pracaxi oil, in scar-management therapy, following open-heart surgery on a pediatric patient with tetralogy of Fallot. The Patient and Observer Scar Assessment Scale was the research instrument used to evaluate for efficacy of the scar therapy.
