Traffic noise is the most important source of environmental annoyance. According to the Environmental Expert Council of Germany, severe annoyance persistent over prolonged periods of time is to be regarded as causing distress. Previously, extraaural noise effects were mostly assessed using a paradigm in which the sound level played the major role.

Chronic noise-induced stress accelerates the ageing of the myocardium and thus increase the risk of myocardial infarction. The involved pathomechanisms include acute increase of catecholamines or cortisol under acute noise exposure and an interaction between endocrine reactions and intracellular Ca/Mg shifts.

We would like to introduce several aspects of the analysis and modeling of the treatment process characterizing the cooperation within multi-professional treatment teams. We will determine what is meant by a treatment process in order to then look at five views and four levels of their description. We will introduce possible methods for surveying and describing it.

The relative risk (RR) for MI-adjusted for control variables (smoking, age, social status, etc.
