Injury to the superficial medial collateral ligament (MCL) is treated conservatively for low-grade injury and with surgery for high-grade injury, especially in association with cruciate ligament injury. Acute injuries are treated with MCL repair, and chronic injury requires reconstruction. Anatomic MCL reconstruction can be done using free allograft or autograft and fixed using screws or suspensory fixation.

Article Synopsis
  • Facial micro expressions are quick, involuntary displays of emotions that reveal a person's true feelings, even when they try to hide them.
  • Current detection methods are evolving, especially with approaches like the Lossless Attention Residual Network (LARNet), which focuses on key facial areas (nose, cheeks, mouth, and eyes) to improve accuracy in identifying these subtle expressions.
  • LARNet is shown to surpass existing techniques in detecting micro expressions in real-time and improves further with more annotated training data.

Background: Peptides and proteins have both sequence-specific (contiguous) and conformation-specific (discontiguous) epitopes. Sequence-specific epitopes are delineated by peptide approach and other robust methods like competition assays, gene expression assays, synthetic peptide library based assays etc. Available methods for delineation of conformation-specific epitopes are cumbersome (X-ray crystallography etc.
