Over the past few decades, many studies have been conducted to explore the link between tinnitus and lipid metabolism, yielding inconsistent results. In our current study, we compared the prevalence of various lipid metabolism abnormalities in patients with chronic subjective idiopathic tinnitus (CSIT) to the official prevalence data of dyslipidaemia in the general adult Hungarian population. To counteract the distorting effect of the co-increase in both conditions with age, we also examined this relationship by age groups.

However, there is a growing concern regarding their trustworthiness. We aimed to appraise the quality and reporting of recommendation documents regarding research integrity to describe their contribution towards fostering RCT integrity.

Although the role of parvocellular CRH neurons in activation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis is well established, the distribution and function of CRH-expressing neurons across the whole central nervous system are less understood. Stress responses activate complex neural networks, which differ depending on the type of stressor and on the sex of the individual.

We investigated whether hypoxanthine-tricyclano could influence atrial inotropy and/or chronotropy, two important functions regulated by the A1 receptor, the main adenosine receptor type of the supraventricular myocardium. Paced left atria and spontaneously beating right atria, isolated from male, 30-35 weeks old, Wistar rats, were used.
