Toxic effects and mechanistic insights of cadmium telluride quantum dots on the homeostasis and regeneration in planarians.

The widespread application of quantum dots (QDs) in recent years has raised concerns about potential environmental and human health risks. Although the toxicity of cadmium telluride quantum dots (CdTe QDs) has been partially studied, their effects on stem cells, tissue regeneration, neurodevelopment, and neurobehavioral toxicity remain unclear. This study aimed to investigate the combined toxic effects and mechanisms of CdTe QDs on planarians at the individual, tissue, cellular, and molecular levels.

Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) mobilizes peripheral blood (PB) progenitor cells from bone marrow (BM) into circulation for PB stem cell transplantation (PBSCT). This study aimed to develop a population pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic (PK-PD) model of filgrastim in healthy subjects to optimize PB CD34 cell collection. Plasma filgrastim concentrations and CD34 cell count data were obtained from a clinical study involving healthy Korean subjects.

Ginsenoside Rd alleviates early brain injury by inhibiting ferroptosis through cGAS/STING/DHODH pathway after subarachnoid hemorrhage.

Ferroptosis, a recently identified form of regulated cell death, is characterized by lipid peroxidation and iron accumulation, plays a critical role in early brain injury after subarachnoid hemorrhage. Ginsenoside Rd, an active compound isolated from ginseng, is known for its neuroprotective properties. However, its influence on SAH-induced ferroptosis remains unclear.

The Extended Depth of Field (EDF) approach has been combined with Random Illumination Microscopy (RIM) to realize aberration-insensitive, fast super-resolution imaging with extended depth, which is a promising tool for dynamic imaging in larger and thicker live cells and tissues.
