Purpose: This study aims to overcome the challenges experienced in the regional development and implementation of home-based stroke rehabilitation (HBSR) and to understand the change process needed.

Materials And Methods: Using participatory action research (PAR), participants and researchers collaboratively produced knowledge and took action to improve the offered HBSR. Different methods for data generation and analysis were used, depending on the aim of the PAR phase and the participants' stages of change.

This case report highlights a 36-year-old male without history of psychiatric disease, chronic pain, or substance use disorder who developed severe substance use disorder per Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders , Fifth Edition criteria to kratom. He was successfully treated with sublingual buprenorphine after a 3-year period of intermittent withdrawal management and trials of oral and extended-release injectable naltrexone. After a period of abstinence from kratom, he was tapered from buprenorphine using 2 monthly injections of 100 mg extended-release buprenorphine.

Background And Objectives: Oculopharyngeal muscular dystrophy (OPMD) is a rare progressive neuromuscular disease. MRI is one of the techniques that is used in neuromuscular disorders to evaluate muscle alterations. The aim of this study was to describe the pattern of fatty infiltration of orofacial and leg muscles using quantitative muscle MRI in a large national cohort and to determine whether MRI can be used as an imaging biomarker of disease progression in OPMD.

Strongyloides stercoralis is a parasitic roundworm that is present worldwide and can cause lifelong, often asymptomatic, infection. Immunosuppression, particularly by corticosteroids, is a risk factor for hyperinfection syndrome and disseminated strongyloidiasis-severe disease states that can lead to septic shock and death. Our institution implemented a strongyloidiasis screening and empiric ivermectin treatment protocol for inpatients receiving high-dose corticosteroids for severe COVID-19.
